The little monsters

Here are two of my favorite people in the world. Mo and Mac. Look at those faces. Is there anyway those two just don"t bring your heart joy? If not, you are heartless. These are the cutest kids ever. Sorry all other kids out there, but its true. No bias involved!

Dad

This is based on a picture of my dad that hangs in my moms house. A lot of my work recently has a lot of undertones, if not directly about him, make referaance to him. The skeleton and heart, a frog, and this pic are a few. I guess it helped me work through some of those emotions that I don't portray outwardly.

Down the Rabbit Hole

This is an Alice in Wonderland representation. Morgan and I have been reading the book and she also got the movie from her grandma. So needless to say this now hangs in her room.

Another logo
Logo for one of my companies.
This is Blackbird. It is acrilic paint and ink. It is an interpetation of a poem 13 ways of looking at a blackbird.
This is another paper project. It is a cover for a book I made. the page and waves are paper, the rest is drawing in ink.
Ok. Kind of creepy. This started as a set up in class and kind of developed into this. I call it Eternal Heart.
This one goes with the last. This has an ink wash base, and is charchol and pastels. This was drawn from a picture I took in Africa.
This is my South African travel poster. Those of you who know me know my bond with South Africa. For those of you that don't, I lived there for two years. This is acrilic paint with pen.
This is a paper/print making project. I made all the papers by hand, then carved a wood block and made a print on top. The papers are cotton, abaca, kozo, and pounded bark. All of the prints are mounted together. I call it paper and history.
This is one of my most recent drawings so I will open with it. It is also one of my favorites. It is called fish out of water for obvious reasons.
